What is badclaude?

badclaude by @blended_jpeg is a tiny Electron app that sits in your system tray. Click the icon, get a whip cursor, click again — and it sends a Ctrl+C interrupt to whatever Claude Code process is running. Complete with whip sound effects and sarcastic encouragement.

It's absurd.

See it in action

Here's what it looks like when you crack the whip on a slow Claude session:

How to install it

Two commands. That's it.

1

Install globally via npm

Prompt
npm install -g badclaude
2

Run it

Prompt
badclaude

A system tray icon appears. Click it to activate the whip cursor, then click anywhere to interrupt the running Claude Code process.

The motivational messages

The best part is the random messages it shows when you crack the whip. Each one is peak passive-aggressive AI management:

Get back to work, Claude!
No slacking off!
I'm watching you, Claude...
Pick up the pace!
That's what you get for being slow!

Next steps

  • Star the repo — give GitFrog1111 some love
  • Install it with npm install -g badclaude and try it on your next long Claude session
  • Record yourself whipping Claude and post it — it's content gold
